Condition: Great. This saxophone has been professionally adjusted and is ready to play. The neck cork and body pads are in good condition with no cracks, and there are no dents. Some areas of lacquer peeling can be seen on the side and bottom of the body—please refer to the photos for details.
This instrument has had the lacquer intentionally removed from the inside of the bell. This modification is known to improve sound reflection back to the player (monitoring effect), especially enhancing depth and richness in the low range. It is highly recommended for players seeking unique tonal character, such as in jazz or fusion. (Effect may vary by individual.)
Since areas without lacquer are more prone to natural tarnishing over time, wiping off moisture and oils with a soft cloth after playing will help maintain the appearance.
The mouthpiece is not included. The original case is included, but shows signs of use and is missing one screw on the bottom.
